The signup system of BioRubyRails was redesigned, here is the list of changes:

• For regular researcher, you could register for your personal use.  you will have a data management system integrated with BioMolyzer, a molecular analysis tool, todo lists, and personal blog.  You can join a lab/group anytime as you like.
  

• If you are a PI in a lab/group, you could register in BioRubyRails for your lab/group.  You will have a data management system, a fund management system and a lab admistration system.  You can add lab members and asign role(s) to each of them. Each lab member will have his own password in order to use your lab resources.  

• Signup forms were simplified.  Many options are only available when you edit your profile, such as upload your photo, personal description (or lab profile), etc.
